It was a hot Summer afternoon at Lexis Byron Bay, but that didn’t stop students from attending the Wine & Cheese Tasting!
We had 5 varieties of wine: merlot, shiraz, rose, moscato and sauvignon blanc.
There was also an assortment of hard and soft cheeses and flavours:
brie
peppercorn
cheddar
camembert
gouda
chives and onion
apricot
When the Swiss were asked what their favourite cheese was they exclaimed “we’re Swiss! We love ALL cheese!”
When Rosa was asked what her favourite wine was she giggled “Rose! Because it is my name!”
It was a perfect way to spend an afternoon with friends.
A casual and fun environment to speak in English and laugh!
Good memories are made at activities like these 🙂
Hope you can join us at the next Wine & Cheese event!

The students were welcome to help themselves to the range of wines including: Merlot, Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose and Moscato.
We also had seven different cheeses to try: brie, camenbert, gouda, gorgonzoula, apricot & cream cheese, spring onion & chives and tasty cheddar.
It didn’t take long before everything was devoured and the students set off into town to continue the Friday celebrations 🙂

What better way to kick of the long Australia Day weekend than with some wine tasting in the garden! It was a beautiful sunny day – the perfect backdrop to our Friday activity. We had a range of wines to choose from – the reds: Merlot & Shiraz, the whites: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc & Muscato and also a Rose.
In an effort to be mindful of our environment and plastic waste, we collected all cups after the tasting, to be washed and refreshed for future tastings 😉
Everyone enjoyed the wines but the clear favourites seemed to be the Shiraz and the sweet Muscato!
Saying ‘cheers’ in 4 different languages! 😀
