On Thursday last, we had a fun and energetic volleyball game in the garden here at Lexis. We decided to play in the garden rather than the beach as the sky was looking a bit like rain!
We gathered at 11am and the 4 girls divided into two teams. We mixed it up a bit during the game – changing sides and teams.
Despite the heavy clouds, it was a very hot day so some water breaks were necessary!
Leo came to cheer on the girls (and to try and make the net higher! Thanks Leo…! 😀 )
We have some fun activities lined up for our last week before Christmas so check them out here and be sure to join us! 🙂
On Friday last, the sun returned to Lexis, here in Byron Bay, just in time for our morning volleyball game! We started out as a small group of two, so the girls had some serious practice with all the running around for the ball. (It was a quiet morning due to many students studying for their upcoming test later that day.) Here they are in action…
With all that running in the sunshine, the girls needed a quick break – just enough time for us to recruit two more students to join in the fun!
And then there were 4… 🙂
Check out this team work!! 🙂
Be sure to join us every day for our activities! It’s a great way to meet new people, make new friends and most importantly – a fun way to improve your English speaking!
Check out the notice board at reception to sign up for our daily activities 🙂
Yesterday we had a wonderful afternoon playing volleyball at the beach!
First we had a quick game of South America VS Japan, with Japan having a small advantage with 7 extra players!
The students then split into three teams of 5, taking turns to play against eachother.
Keeping themselves entertained whilst waiting for their next turn!
After an hour of playing there was time for a us to quickly dip our feet in the ocean to cool off before heading back to school!
On Friday much loved teacher Josie took the students to the beach for a game of Volleyball!
They played until the sun started to set, with the winning team then enjoying some post match beers!
On Friday our Volleyball activity had a special guest host, teacher Josie!
All of Josie’s Cambridge class joined her at the beach, as well as students from our General English classes!
Josie says they all had a brilliant time and stayed at the beach for hours playing!
They were plenty of great shots and lots of fun had!
After the match many of them headed to Clarkes beach for a BBQ before hitting the town!
On Friday we headed to the beach in the afternoon for a game of Volleyball!!
Summer is well and truly here in Byron, with temperatures in the 30’s; luckily the sea was only a few steps away for a cool down!
Despite the heat everyone put a lot of energy and effort into the match!
Looking forward to more beach activities and beautiful weather over the next few months 🙂
