Coffee Club ☕ December 9th

Recently we’ve introduced Coffee Club on a Monday afternoon at Lexis Byron Bay! ☕

Or in Christian’s case today, ‘tea time’. He even had his little pinky finger out for the occasion 😋

Fabian joined in with a coffee.

And Eglantine had a mocha for the first time with us. She doesn’t usually like coffee, though this one was okay because it had chocolate in it too! 🍫

The game of choice today was Jenga with the questions on each piece.

There were fiery conversations about some of the topics that came up! Examples that stirred debate we’re about politics and the death penalty. However, it was nicer to speak about trivial subject matters like our dream holiday destination or our favourite flavours of ice-cream! 🍦

Join us tomorrow morning at 11.30am for Coffee Club!

Swiss Cooking! 31st May

Last Wednesday our activity was Swiss Cooking!

Our lovely teacher Michelle was on hand to help but Tito, one of our Swiss students, was happy to take control!

They made a delicious Fondue, with bread, carrots and apples for dipping!

Here’s a simple Fondue recipe if you’d like to try at home:

700g shredded cheese

1 garlic clove

A third of a bottle of white wine

3 teaspoons of cornflour

Ground pepper and nutmeg

Rub a heavy saucepan or fondue pot with the split garlic clove.

Put the cheese and wine into the pan and slowly bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

When the cheese is completely melted, add the cornflour, stirring vigorously.

Continue to cook and season with pepper and nutmeg.

Now enjoy by dipping in small pieces of bread, fruit or vegetables speared on a fondue fork.

Keep stirring with your bread as you dip.
