Joining the activities is a great way to make new friends, practice your English in a social environment, and of course have fun!!
Throughout the month we always have a variety of different activities, with a mix of sports, cooking and craft, so there’s something for everyone, if you want more information please don’t hesitate to come and speak with me at reception! 🙂
This month we move to our double timetable with our Elementary and Pre-Intermediate classes moving to the afternoon schedule.
This will mean from Tuesday 8th there will be two activities running everyday.
The morning activity at 11.30am-12.30pm and the afternoon at 2-3pm.
There will be one yoga class on Monday and it will now be held at 7.45am.
GIL will be from 12-1pm and 2-3pm.
Check out the rest of the activities we have planned exclusively for our Lexis students in October!
Start your week off right with a free Yoga session with the wonderful Jimmy. This month it will be every Monday morning at 7.45am– in Room 8 (except Monday 7th, as we have a day off school for Australian Labour Day). There are many benefits to practicing yoga in the mornings. Come along and experience the bliss for yourself. All you will need is water and comfortable clothes, mats are provided.
We continue Coffee Club from Tuesday 15th at 11.30am and 2pm; join us for coffee, Tim Tams, games, conversations and always a good laugh.
GIL (Guided Individual Learning) runs every day 2-3pm and from Tuesday 8th also at 12-1pm in Room 8 (except Monday’s are in Room 2). Come along to get help with anything from homework to vocabulary to writing your resume.
Teacher Kristy runs a free Guided Meditation on Wednesday morning between 8-8:30am in room 8. No experience needed, this group is open for everyone who has ever thought about giving meditation a go. Not only does Kristy guide you through a beautiful mediation, there is time to discuss the benefits and beliefs behind the practice. It is truly a beautiful way to start your day.
I am very excited about our activity on Tuesday 8th.. We are lucky enough to have a fantastic group coming to do a very special Japanese drumming workshop and performance. They will be here at 11.30am for the afternoon timetable and 2pm for those students studying in the morning. They will be bringing along all the equipment, so come and experience the magic of Taiko.
Make sure you come in to reception and sign up for all our activities as some activities have limited numbers 🙂 I am looking forward to a great month ahead!
