Today we had the very fun and creative activity of Boomerang painting! Our Hiroshima Juniors joined withΒ their classmates and together, we all painted our own individual boomerang.
Everyone ready to start! π
I had some painted boomerangs to show as examples, as well as some information about the meaning behind all the symbols β an interesting insight into the traditional Aboriginal style, used to tell stories through the artists paintings.
See everyone concentrating hard on their masterpieces! π
Some finished details…

Yesterday we headed down to the beach for some Bodyboarding!
Summer is still here and it was beautifully warm in and out of the water π
We collected the boards from the wonderful team at Let’s Go Surfing, then I gave the students a quick demonstration on the beach before they headed into waves!
The waves were pretty small but they all managed to catch a few and had lots of fun, which is the important thing!

Yesterday Orla and I taught the students how to make dreamcathers!
I had a small group in the afternoon, which made it easy to show and help each of them individually, ensuing they were made to perfection!
