He started with us in February at Elementary level and worked his way up to the Upper Intermediate class. His English skills have greatly improved in all areas, particularly his vocabulary and speaking skills. He has been a pleasure to teach and we wish him all the best for his return to Japan.

His writing is at a high level with a good style which makes it interesting to read. He is a relaxed and friendly student with a positive attitude towards learning and has been a pleasure to have in class.
Vanessa is from Switzerland. She has shown great progress during her time at Lexis Byron Bay with improvements in all areas of her English skills. We have five students graduating from Lexis Byron Bay this week.
Dominique is from Switzerland and graduates from Kathleen’s Intermediate class. When he arrived, Dominique had a good knowledge of English grammar but little confidence in speaking and listening, especially when trying to understand the Australian accent. Over his four weeks here, he was (in his teacher’s words) a teacher’s dream! He attended all his classes, he came to class on time and he worked hard to improve and learn. He has made great improvement with his English, particularly in building his confidence in speaking and has a great ability to explain words to other students. Dominique came to Lexis Byron Bay on the English in Action – Surfing course, so he not only improved his English but also learnt to surf during his time here! He is now heading straight back to Switzerland this weekend and will be back at work by Monday. We hope to see you back in Australia again one day!

Manuel is from Switzerland and graduates from Ellie and Anji’s IELTS class. He has been a very intelligent and wonderful student. He brings a lot of enthusiasm, smiles and laughter to the class as well as showing a high aptitude for the English language. Manuel studied the English in Action – Surfing course at Lexis Byron Bay, which gave him the opportunity to not only improve his English, but also his surfing skills too! We have four students finishing at Lexis Byron Bay this week: Carla, Maria, Alessa and Lucia.
Carla is from Spain and graduates from Iruka’s Intermediate class. She has been an exceptional student who has worked hard to achieve great results. In class she has been enthusiastic, helpful and respectful to other students. Outside of class she has worked well on homework and self-study, and is described as a model student by her teacher! Carla plans to enjoy another couple of weeks in Byron Bay before heading to back Spain, but hopes to return to Australia in the next few years to continue learning and practicing her English. She is a lovely student to have in class, with an enthusiastic and dynamic personality that always lifts the class atmosphere. She will be in Byron Bay for a few more weeks before travelling in Australia and possibly doing some more studies. Alessa is from Switzerland and graduates from Kathleen’s Intermediate class. She has been at Lexis Byron Bay for just two weeks, on the English in Action – Surfing course. In class she made a positive impact, with her lovely nature putting other students at ease and encouraging them to speak. This enabled her to get lots of speaking and listening practice, which resulted in great improvements in these skills. She is a quick learner, picking up and using the new grammar and vocabulary taught in class. After learning English in the mornings, she spent most of her afternoons learning how to surf the famous Byron Bay beaches! Alessa now has two months of travel around Australia planned before going back home. Enjoy exploring more of Australia!

She showed great aptitude for the English language and, with just four weeks at Lexis, she studied for two weeks each in the Upper Intermediate and Advanced (CAE) classes. Kim is from Korea and graduates from David’s Pre-Intermediate class. She has progressed very well during her time at Lexis Byron Bay, starting in Elementary and working her way up through Pre-Intermediate and finishing off with a week in Intermediate. Her confidence has increased in speaking by developing an excellent knowledge of vocabulary and understanding of grammar. She is a polite, kind student who works well with others. She has been dedicated and focussed on her studies and has gained an A grade as a result. Kim is now moving up to Brisbane to continue learning English with Lexis. Claudia’s Upper Intermediate class has three students graduating: Laura, Cate and Michelle. All three are from Switzerland and have been a pleasure to have in this class.
Laura is a conscientious student who has worked very hard during her time here at Lexis Byron Bay. She brings a positive attitude to class and her lively nature has lifted the classroom atmosphere on many occasions. She has shown a keen interest in learning which has helped her to improve her English skills.
Cate has made great improvements to her English since starting at Lexis Byron Bay. She has shown great enthusiasm towards her studies and added a positive dynamic to the class. She is a conscientious student and has participated well in class discussions and activities.
Michelle has been a diligent and hard-working student. She shows enthusiasm towards her work and makes great contributions to class discussions and activities. Her conscientious and persistent attitude to her studies has paid off, with her making considerable improvements to her English skills in her time at Lexis Byron Bay.

She has made enormous progress in all areas of English during her time here. She has brought a bright personality, great sense of humour and lovely smile to her classroom. She started in Pre-Intermediate and, over the 24 weeks she has spent here at Lexis Byron Bay, has worked her way up to the Upper Intermediate class. Emiko has made great friends during her time here and will be missed by staff and students alike! She is now off to travel through Cambodia and Vietnam before returning home to Japan. She was a delight to teach and she was a good participant in class activities. Mariko made good progress in her two weeks here, by asking questions to help understand the grammar and vocabulary better. We have two students graduating from Lexis Byron Bay this week.
Nuria is from Spain and graduates from Ellie’s Upper Intermediate class. She is a very friendly student and an active participant in class. She started at Lexis in February this year before heading north to study at Sunshine Coast and doing some travel around Australia. She enjoyed her time in Byron Bay so much that she returned to complete her last two weeks of English studies with us. Even after just two weeks in her current class, her classmates are sad that she is leaving and will miss her valuable contributions. Now Nuria hopes to find work in Byron Bay and live here…forever and ever if she can!
Sua is from Korea and graduates from Paul’s Intermediate class. He has contributed well to the learning environment in the classroom and has made many great friends here. Edoardo is from Italy and has been a friendly, conscientious member of the class. He has been an excellent student who shows great potential to extend his vocabulary range and improve his grammar. Have fun on your sailing trip!
Anja (or Annie, as she goes by in Australia) is from Switzerland and has been a pleasure to have in class. She has been a friendly student who interacts well with her classmates and other students at school. She has done very well on the practice IELTS tests and continues to improve her vocabulary. Enjoy your travels through Australia and New Zealand!
Massimo is from Italy and has been an active contributor to class discussions. His questions are probing to further his knowledge and his interesting viewpoints contributed to the areas the class was studying. We hope you enjoy your travels around Australia and keep improving your English skills!
Natalia is from Brazil and has been studying at Lexis Byron Bay for 24 weeks. She has made excellent progress in her time here, moving up to Upper Intermediate level as her English improved. Her written work is fantastic, showing great capability in both formal and informal forms. She is accurate in her use of a variety of grammatical structures and is always expanding her vocabulary. She will be enjoying a week off of study before commencing the Business course with Lexis Byron Bay. Good luck with your next block of studies!
Esther is from Spain and has been with us at Lexis Byron Bay for just two weeks. She is a friendly, hardworking student who has been a pleasure to teach. She has shown improvement in her grammar and vocabulary skills during her time here. All the best for the future!

There are three students graduating from Claudia and David’s Pre-Intermediate class.
Masumi is from Japan and has been studying at Lexis Byron Bay for seven weeks. She has been a conscientious student who was a pleasure to have in class. She has shown great improvement in her English skills and gained confidence speaking during her time here. Good luck with your new job back in Japan and we hope to see you in Byron Bay again soon!
Nagomi is from Japan and has been a happy, friendly student. She was an excellent student and made quick friends with students from all nationalities. She has a good level of English and improved in confidence during her two weeks at Lexis Byron Bay. All the best for the future!

After starting in the Pre-Intermediate class, Aya made great progress and moved up to the Intermediate class. He has worked hard and shown great motivation to learn and improve his English, making significant improvements to his communication skills during his time at Lexis. Ferran is from Spain and graduates from Ellie’s IELTS class. He combined his English studies with learning to surf, on the English in Action – Surfing program. Ferran brought youthful exuberance to the class and made excellent progress with his English. He achieved great results, particularly with his listening skills, as well as his writing and grammar. Claudia is from Chile and graduates from Julia’s Upper Intermediate class. She has been at Lexis Byron Bay for six months, starting at Pre-Intermediate level and working her way through to Upper Intermediate. She has participated well in class activities and has made definite improvements in her English skills. Her classmates describe her as happy, always smiling and has a great spirit! We have two students graduating from Lexis Byron Bay this week.
Tino is from Switzerland and graduates from Ellie’s Upper Intermediate class. He is an enthusiastic student who uses English to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms. He has loved his time in Byron Bay, making the most of the beach lifestyle by surfing at every possible opportunity. He has become more like a local with every week he spent here over the past few months! Tino plans to stay another week in Byron before heading up to Cairns. Victor is from Belgium and graduates from Paul’s Intermediate class. He has been an amazing student with a lively and respectful attitude to his studies. He communicates very well and is an active contributor to class discussions. He spent the first three weeks of his time at Lexis in the English in Action – Surfing course and completed his final week in the General English course, while still surfing as much as possible! Natsumi is from Japan and graduates from Ellie’s Upper Intermediate class. She has been a lovely, attentive student who has worked hard in class and at home. She made wonderful improvement with her English speaking skills and achieved over 90% on every single test during her 11 weeks at Lexis. She also completed her first full marathon last weekend! Well done on all your wonderful achievements, we wish you all the best for the future!
Fuki is from Japan and graduates from Mel and Beckie’s Elementary class. He has been a pleasure to have in class and has been a happy, smiling student. After studying at Lexis for 12 weeks, he has improved his English and hopes to continue this with his own study. Pablo is from Spain and has made great improvements with his English, particularly his speaking and listening skills. He was an active participant in class activities and contributed well in class discussions.
Marina is from Switzerland and has been a conscientious student who was a pleasure to have in class. She has participated well in class activities and discussions and her contributions to the class were appreciated.
Miho is from Japan and has worked very hard to improve her English skills during her time at Lexis. She was a pleasure to have in class and was a conscientious student and participant in class activities and discussions.
Thomas is from France and has improved his English since he started at Lexis, especially his speaking skills. He participated well in class activities and contributed to discussions.

Donovan is from France and graduates from Claudia’s Intermediate class. His English has improved a lot since starting at Lexis, moving up from the Pre-Intermediate class he started in.
