Learn to Slackline! July 22

It’s another beautiful day in Byron Bay! This afternoon we enjoyed the warm sunshine while learning how to slackline with Olmo from Balance Revolution.

First we started with a few warm up stretches and exercises to teach us the importance of breathing, focus and a clear mind in slacklining.

Then we were straight up onto the slackline – with the help of Olmo at our side, of course!

After a couple of tries on the slackline, everyone agreed that though it was a challenging activity, it was a lot of fun and worth practicing to improve at it!

If you want to try it out your self, or continue practicing what you learnt today, you can find Olmo and his slacklines between Main and Clarkes beaches tomorrow!

Stay tuned next month for another visit from Olmo at the school too!

Cider Tasting! May 25

This afternoon we soaked up the sun out in the garden while tasting ciders.

We tried apple and pear ciders from all across Australia – from Victoria to Western Australia, Tasmania to South Australia, and even one brewed locally in Byron Bay.

They all had very different flavours and everyone had a different favourite. Above all, it was a lovely afternoon enjoying great conversation with cool drinks in the sunshine!

Volleyball in the Garden! April 29

This afternoon we enjoyed the lovely, sunny weather out in the garden with a friendly game of volleyball.

Fourteen students joined in the match at different times, playing over two 12-minute halves.

The competition was tough with the scores even for almost the whole game, making it a great game to watch for the many spectators on the sidelines!

At full time, the scores were tied 36-36! An extra point was played, with the team who wins that point wins the game. The players on both sides were determined , but at the end of the day there can only be one winning team. Congratulations to Natsumi, Inola, Floriant, Abel, Marco and Estelle! Enjoy the well deserved beer! 🙂
