Diving at the Byron Bay dive centre

I believe they call this one a Grey Nurse shark, these sharks are harmless unless provoked. The Grey Nurse shark is Australia’s most endangered marine species.

This is a Wobbegong shark they are bottom-dwelling sharks, so they spend much of their time resting on the sea floor. Most species have a maximum length of 1.25 m (4.1 ft) or less, but the largest, the spotted Wobbegong, can reach about 3 m (9.8 ft) in length. These sharks are relatively harmless.  A couple of Sting Rays hanging out !! can you see the Wobbegong shark hiding underneath them.  Sting Rays are pretty unique as they have no bones in their body – their skeleton is made up of flexible cartilage. Rays protect themselves with venomous spines or barbs in their tail.

This little fella here is a sea turtle, think they are all having a snooze in these pictures…These ancient creatures have been on Earth for more than 100 million years — even surviving the dinosaurs when they became extinct 65 million years ago.

This is a set of legs with flippers attached …… HAHAHA!!!!
