Teresa, from Spain, graduates from Claudia’s IELTS class. She has been a ray of sunshine and it is always lovely to see her smiley face around campus. Claudia says her positive attitude and outgoing personality, as well as her thoughtfulness to others, has made her an absolute pleasure to teach. We wish you the very best for the future, we are sure you’ll go far!

Hikaru, from Japan, graduates from Kristy’s Intermediate class. It has been lovely getting to know him over the past 2 weeks; he is very eager to learn and immerse himself in the Australian lifestyle! We are glad this isn’t goodbye as Hikarua will start our Cambridge course next week!

Lucas, from Switzerland, graduates from Claudia’s IELTS class. He has been a diligent, conscientious and hard-working student. His foundation of the English language is very good and he graduates at a high Upper Intermediate level, with an Advanced level in both his listening and reading. Best wishes for the future Lucas!

Tomas, from Spain, graduates from Mel’s Intermediate class. He made progress in all areas of his English during his time at Lexis. Mel says he was a pleasure to teach and he’ll be missed in class next week. We hope you enjoyed your time in Byron Tomas and wish you well for the future!

Yonghyun, from Korea, graduates from Michelle’s Pre-Intermediate class. His speaking and listening have improved dramatically during his time at Lexis. His writing has also improved and it’s been wonderful to see him grow more confident with speaking. Michelle says his questions, communication skills and contributions were great for the whole class. They will all miss his humour and light heartedness next week!

Eva, from Sweden, graduates from Claudia’s Upper Intermediate class. Her time with us has been very short but sweet, and we have loved having her here the past couple of weeks! She was very enthusiastic to learn and always happy to contribute in class discussions. We hope you enjoy your travels around Australia with your daughters!

Karsten, from Germany, graduates from Claudia’s Upper Intermediate class. His time with us has also been very short, just 1 week, after joining us from Lexis Brisbane. Hu (Ikhyeon), from Korea, graduates from Mel’s Intermediate class. It has been wonderful watching him progress from Elementary and his confidence grow. Carmen, from Spain, graduates from Claudia’s Upper Intermediate class. It has been wonderful having her here with us at Lexis for the past 24 weeks and watching her English improve and confidence grow. She worked hard and participated enthusiastically in all activities. She is a friendly, polite and cheerful student and we are very glad she will be staying with us to complete the Cambridge course. Roberta, from Brazil, graduates from Paul’s Upper Intermediate class. Paul describes her as an intelligent hard working student and says her participation in class discussions has been brilliant. Lorenza, from Italy, graduates from Michelle’s Pre-Intermediate class. We have really enjoyed having her here the past 6 weeks. Michelle describes her as a happy and committed student. She asks excellent questions, works hard and always make an effort to speak with others. Her participation in class discussions has been productive and she was an asset to the class. I have personally loved getting to know her at the out of class activities and will be missing her next week! Enjoy Brisbane Lorenza and come visit us before you leave Australia!

Alya, from Bali, graduates from Michelle’s Pre-Intermediate class. It has been a joy to have her here with us at Lexis! She has been a very polite, positive and kind student. Farewell to our Hiroshima Study Group! 10 August

Today we say farewell to our Hiroshima study group!

We have thoroughly enjoyed having the 11 Hiroshima school students with us for the past 2 weeks!

As well as English classes they also took part in our homestay programme and daily activities.

I have really loved watching their confidence grow throughout the activities and will be missing them all next week!

During their time here we enjoyed a beautiful walk to Byron’s lighthouse, a didgeridoo lesson, volleyball at the beach, Aussie food tasting, boomerang painting , a scavenger hunt, and a sunny afternoon at the beach!

They also got to cuddle koalas at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, go surfing in the one of the World’s best surf spots, and visit an Australian high school to share their culture with the students there.

Mikio, Ryo, Nonoka, Haruna, Rei, Itsumi, Ai, Yuno, Ryuta and Fuki graduate from Kristy’s Elementary class. Kristy says she has loved teaching them all. They loved the language games they played in class and practiced lots of pronunciation, with them all making big improvements! They were very shy when they first joined us but their personalities all shone through into their second week!

Mana graduates from Michelle’s Pre-Intermediate class. Michelle says she has a beautiful and graceful approach to learning. Her understanding of grammar and use of vocabulary has been excellent and her speaking has improved during her time with us.

We are sure this has been a wonderful experience for them and one they will remember forever!

Miyu, from Japan, graduates from Claudia’s Upper Intermediate class. We are very sad to be saying goodbye to her after 34 weeks at Lexis! Miyu is a friendly, respectful, kind person and we will all miss her very much! She started with us in Pre-Intermediate, completed the Cambridge First course, and now graduates Upper Intermediate with an A! Well done for all your achievements Miyu.
