On Tuesday morning, we embarked on a beautiful walk up to Byron Bay Lighthouse. We left Lexis at 9am, taking a taxi to Captain Cooke’s car park by the beach. From here, we set off on the first part of our journey by foot.
The views along the way were amazing so we had plenty of stops for photographs. It was blue sky and sunshine so the colour of the water was a beautiful and clear turquoise.

Heading back into the bush towards the lighthouse

Arriving at Wategos Beach!
Overlooking the sea from the most easterly point of Australia!!
The lighthouse is in sight…
We made it to the lighthouse! 😀
It was very hot so we decided to relax at the top with some ice cream! 😀
All ready to head back to Lexis, taking in more stunning views as we walked.
