Boomerang painting! January 10th

Last week, we gathered outside the student lounge for our Thursday activity – Boomerang painting! 🙂

The sun was shining here in Byron Bay so we set up the tables outside, making sure to cover everything in newspaper as we were using acrylic paint. I had some painted boomerangs to show as examples, as well as some information about the meaning behind all the symbols – an interesting insight into the traditional aboriginal style, used to tell stories through the artists paintings.

Everyone found the painting to be a very relaxing activity! Check them out as they worked on their masterpieces 😀
