GROUNDS AND MAINTENANCE ATTENDANT

Discovery Parks are looking for a great person to join our Byron Bay team as a casual Grounds & Maintenance Attendant. You will assist with repairs and maintenance to facilities, grounds maintenance and irrigation and waste management within the high standards of our Discovery brand. You will be someone able to prioritise your workload to achieve daily outcomes whilst also understanding the bigger picture for the rest of the team. You will bring to the role: – Fantastic customer service. – Fit and energetic. – A great attitude and willingness to learn. – Experience in accommodation or commercial maintenance. – Previous trade employment or handyman skills, plus gardening/groundskeeping knowledge (and you love doing it!). – Knowledge of correct manual handling techniques and WHS awareness. – Excellent time management skills. – Flexible attitude to hours, including weekends and on short notice. – Pool maintenance experience would be advantageous. – A current valid (manual) driver’s licence is essential. Remuneration: A competitive rate will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience.

CASUAL PART TIME CUSTOMER SERVICE / WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

This position works across our two brands, both in the fashion & homewares industry. You’ll be working within a small team replying to our online store enquiries, picking and packing orders, despatching and keeping an eye on inventory management.  As we are a small but fast growing business, this position will provide plenty of variety in your day with lots of opportunity for learning and promotion. YOU WILL NEED: – A real passion for Customer Service and a willingness to go above and beyond for your customer. – Commitment to work through our busy period (Dec 27 & 28th are an absolute must), with flexibility to pick up more hours. – Solid computer literacy including knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook. – A sales or customer service background. – A willingness to learn. – To be thorough, careful and considered when carrying out tasks. – This job would involve some lifting. – A car is required to drop orders at the post hub around the corner at the end of each shift. – Previous experience working with Shopify, Starshipit and Adobe Creative Suite would be helpful but not essential. Hours are flexible, 1-2 days per week which could increase as the brands grow.

FRONT OFFICE ATTENDANT

Discovery Parks are on the lookout for a customer service super star to join our front office team at our Byron Bay Park on a casual basis with a view to permanency.  A customer-facing role, your focus will be servicing our guests and ensuring they leave Discovery wanting more! In this role you’ll also provide support and assistance to the front office team. This role would suit someone with previous experience in a customer-facing setting and who ideally has worked within hospitality (using RMS would be an advantage). You will have outstanding customer service skills and will be computer literate with solid abilities in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. The role includes: – Meeting, greeting and checking-in customers. – Assisting customers by phone, email or in person. Monitoring, identifying and meeting their needs. – Handling and resolving customer complaints in a positive and professional manner. – Making reservations in a computerised system (RMS). We’re looking for people who are customer focused, enthusiastic, with great local knowledge that can be put to use assisting our guests. You’ll have flexibility in your working hours (including public holidays and weekends). If you’ve got some experience in front office/reception, a drive to deliver great customer service, and a bubbly personality with a ‘can do’ attitude, we’d like to hear from you!
