Throughout last week Lexis staff and students hosted bake sales to raise money for the RSPCA.
Tuesday through to Thursday our General English classes competed to raise the most money, with Pre-Intermediate winning themselves a picnic for raising $53 with their chocolate brownies!
In second place we had Paul’s Upper Intermediate class raising $51 with their carrot cakes,
and Mel’s Intermediate class raising $47 with their chocolate chip cookies.
Last up on Friday we had the Lexis staff baking and selling to raise more money for this great cause (we unfortunately weren’t allowed to compete for the beach picnic)!
Campus manager Lisa made delicious vegan chocolate and raspberries brownies which she warmed up and served with vanilla ice cream
Teacher Kristy made cardamon and orange cupcakes with an orange and cream cheese icing
Homestay co-ordinator Koko made red velvet cupcakes with orange icing, Teacher Julia brought in a carrot and walnut cake,
and I (Claire, activities and student support) made chocolate cupcakes topped with strawberry icing and a chocolate covered strawberry!
We raised a further $82, so this combined with the $151 raised by our classes brings us to a total of $233!!!
It was a brilliant week of sweet treats and everyone did a great job getting involved to help the animals! ❤
The RSPCA is a charity that works to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection. To find out more about how our money will help them, or to donate more, check out their website: https://www.rspca.org.au/
