HOUSEKEEPER – DISCOVERY PARKS

The Role: We are looking for a great person to join our Byron Bay team as a casual Housekeeper. You will provide housekeeping and cleaning for our various accommodation types including cleaning common areas to ensure the presentation of the property is in accordance with the high standards of our Discovery brand. The Person: You will be someone able to prioritise your workload to achieve daily outcomes whilst also understanding the bigger picture for the rest of the team. You will bring to the role: – Fantastic customer service. – Proven and demonstrated experience in a commercial housekeeping role. – A willingness to work with the housekeeping team, but also able to work autonomously. – Excellent time management skills. – Flexible attitude to hours, including weekends and on short notice. – A current valid drivers licence. Remuneration: A competitive rate will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience.
CLEANER (PUBLIC AREA AND AMENITIES) – BYRON HOLIDAY PARK
Byron Holiday Park is looking to appoint a motivated, autonomous and reliable individual to join our Team as a Public Area Cleaner. * Roughly 20 hours a week with the opportunity to increase. * Attractive weekend and public holiday rates. * Be part of a hard working team delivering quality experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and physical capability to carry out manual labor. Your Main responsibilities: – Responsible for achieving and exceeding guest service standards. – Clean public restrooms, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters & floor surfaces; Supply with fresh paper and soap as required. – Maintain the security and privacy of guests, demonstrating your integrity and diligence at all times. – Cleaning all common areas within the holiday park including camp kitchens, TV room, BBQ hut doing daily detail cleans and deep cleans as needed. -Spring cleaning of common areas. -Reporting maintenance issues. -Willingness to be available for additional or varying duties as required by management. – Adherence to workplace health and safety policies and procedures. About the role Bombay to Byron restaurant located at Shop 12, North Byron Plaza, 90-96 Jonson St. Reporting to the head chef, this is a full time 38 hours, hands-on role. Here’s what you will be doing: – Prepare and cooking food for daily menu. – Contribute to menu development. – Present food as required. – Help to manage accurate stock control and ordering. – Maintain a well-presented, clean and hygienic work environment. – Problem solving. – Substitute for the chef as maybe required. – Assist with other restaurant duties as may be required. Here’s what you need: – Certificate III in Commercial Cookery plus 2 years on the job training; or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery; or 3 years full time work experience. – Good knowledge of portion control. – Good communication ability in English. – Recent experience in a busy food environment. – Great customer service and communication skills. – Experience in plating & serving dishes. – A strong work ethic. – High standard of personal presentation and hygiene. – Experience with cooking Indian cuisine.
