We offer our residents freshly prepared meals and snacks, all cooked on site in our commercial kitchens. We are now seeking a Kitchen & Dining Hand to join our team to assist in providing high quality, nutritious meals to our residents. Please note this a casual position and will include weekend work. This role is based at our Bangalow residential village. About the role: – Assisting chefs with the daily running of the commercial kitchen. – Assisting with the preparation of meals for residents ensuring consistency in quality, taste and presentation. – Loading and unloading of dishwasher and hand washing utensils as required. – Monitoring and reporting on sufficient food supplies. – Ensuring compliance with HACCP legislation and Feros Food safety Plan. – Ensuring a safe working environment in the residential facility by working within workplace health and safety requirements. About you: – You hold a Certificate in Food Safety 1 and/or 2 (desirable but not essential). – You have prior Aged Care experience (desirable but not essential). – You have previous experience working in a commercial kitchen environment. – You have flexible availability with the ability to work weekends. – You are willing and able to work at least one 7.5 hour shift per week. – You respect the privacy, confidentiality and dignity of senior clients, and maintain a professional working relationships with clients at all times (but still be up for forging some great relationships with our residents and having FUN).
