Essential required experience and criteria for this role: Must have experience in commercial style chocolate making processes – grinding, tempering & enrobing, or be willing to throw themselves in headfirst and commit to acquiring the skills & knowledge needed through ongoing self-study.
Key tasks for this role: – Chocolate making – preparing, grinding and processing vegan chocolate. – Tempering chocolate and enrobing a variety of chocolate-bar style products. – Ensuring all health and safety procedures are being followed correctly. – Making quick intelligent and strategic decisions when changes need to be made to ensure product output is reached. – Operation of commercial chocolate making machinery. – Supervising correct labelling, boxing and storage of products.
The position is currently part time, 2.5 – 3.5 days a week, with the possibility to grow into a full time role for the right person, and also become involved in other areas of production – pay and conditions to be discussed.
