Soccer Match against SAE College! 28th April

Last Friday we had our big Soccer Challenge against SAE, another local school in Byron Bay!

After defeating them back in September, the pressure was on to keep the trophy firmly in Lexis’ hands.

Those who stepped up to keep our championship title were: Christian, Mauricio, Felipe, Angelo, Shogo, Gareth, Timo, Oliver, Helder, Tito and Juan!

With Helder doing an excellent job as team captain!

The boys all played amazingly and worked together brilliantly as a team,

so it was no surprise that WE WON!!!!

The final score was 4 – 3, with Helder, Juan, Felipe and Timo all scoring goals!

They couldn’t have done it without the skilled footwork of their team though and the support of their adoring fans on the sidelines!

Even a little bit of rain couldn’t dampen their spirits and the boys pushed on as the fans took cover, staying for celebrations after the final whistle!

We were even treated to a beautiful rainbow over the pitch as the game entered it’s final minutes 🙂

Both teams headed to the Bowls Club for drinks post match, where the competition with the two schools continued at the pool table!

Everyone was in great spirits and it was the perfect way to end the week and start the weekend!

Well done boys, you were all incredible and everyone at Lexis is so proud of you for keeping hold of our title!

Also special thanks to Let’s Go Surfing for providing the T-shirts for our team kit!
