PADI DIVEMASTER INTERNSHIP

RESERVATIONS CONSULTANT

We are looking for a Reservations Consultant to join our busy Byron Bay head office with an immediate start.  You will become an expert in our portfolio and have a passion for finding the right property for our guests to create a memorable experience for their holiday or short stay. The role will be responsible for the following: – Handling incoming booking enquiries and sales via email, phone and online websites. – Meeting booking targets. – Assisting guests with property related questions and issues during their stay. – Maintaining booking and property information in our management systems. – Handling escalated emergency calls that cannot be handled by our after-hours call centre. The applicant will require the following skills: – Professional phone manner with ability to handle customer issues or complaints and find suitable outcomes. – Strong written communication skills. – A friendly and confident personality. – Experience with sales, performing to sales KPIs, and identifying new sales opportunities. – Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and enquiries. – Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel and Word, as well as Google docs. The role will report to the Reservations Manager and will be a key addition to our small but passionate team. As such, a hard working person with a drive to succeed and be part of the company’s future is required. Ideally you will have previous experience or training in tourism and/or real estate, and have been working in a service and/or sales focused role. Experience with property management systems and channel managers would also be well regarded. New/upcoming tourism/hospitality graduates are welcome to apply. The position is part-time and the applicant will be required to work weekdays between 9am-5pm and Saturdays on roster from 9am-1pm.  Sunday work may be required in the future but not at this stage.  The role is based in our Byron Bay head office so the applicant will need their own transport to and from the office, as well as their own phone for escalated after-hours calls when rostered on.
