This week, we have six new starters at Lexis English Byron Bay. Welcome to Valerie, Masumi, Rodrigo, Jongwon, Rafael and Tom!
Valerie is from France and is a nurse who has worked in hospital, clinical and home environments specialising in child and cancer patients. She enjoys travelling, nature, art, culture, spending time with friends, jogging, yoga and meditation. She is starting her travel in Australia to discover the landscapes and to learn English so she can speak with and understand the people she meets along the way.
Masumi is from Japan and is one of four in her family. She enjoys music, sports, exercise, going for walks, going to the beach and travel. She is in Australia to learn English so that she can talk to people all around the world.
Rodrigo is from Spain and likes to go skiing, snowboarding and surfing. He is an Interior Design student and works as a Ski Instructor. He is learning English in Byron Bay so he can use English in his work, teaching ski students from different countries, and to be able to talk with people of all nationalities.
Jongwon is from Korea and studied Train Electronics at College. He likes watching movies and listening to music. He has always dreamt of living in another country to experience the different cultures and lifetsyles, and plans to continue travelling all over the world for the next few years. He came here to learn English because Australia is very peaceful and friendly.
Rafael is from Spain and is a Law graduate with a Masters in Finance. He loves sports and likes to work out every day. He chose to come to Australia to study English because of the friendly, inclusive people.
Tom is from France and was born in the Ivory Coast. He is from a family of five, with his parents, younger brother and younger sister who still live in Africa. He enjoys fishing, surfing, and practising judo and jiujitsu. He completed a degree in Aquaculture and has worked at a fish farm. After studying at Lexis, he hopes to move up to Cairns to work on a tuna farm or do some fruit picking while visiting the surrounding national parks.
