Welcome to our 5 new students this week – Emiko, Priscilla, Melanie, Bernarda and Shinji.

Emiko is from Japan and has two sisters, one of whom is her twin. Her family of five also has a dog and a cat. She enjoys doing Yosakoi which is a unique style of dance that originated in Japan. Emiko wants to improve her English so that she can talk to people from different countries and travel in Australia to see the native countryside and animals.

Priscilla is from France and enjoys sport, dancing and any outdoor activities. She studies Psychology in France and is here studying English because she believes it will open many doors for future employment and life in general. Priscilla wants to become a firefighter and work in tourism or events.

Melanie is from France, and is celebrating her 20th birthday today! Happy Birthday! She enjoys dancehall, reggae and flamenco dancing, and loves the sun and beach. She is studying in Australia to improve her English, to meet people from different countries and practice speaking English every day. After studying at Lexis she hopes to work and travel around Australia.

Bernarda is from Spain but grew up in Argentina. She works as a bar manager and studies Visual Merchandising. Bernarda came to Australia to study English and to enjoy the sunshine and beaches. She enjoys sports and likes to travel.

Shinji is from Japan and enjoys karate and going to coffee shops. He is studying Architecture in Japan and hopes to one day become a Construction Manager. While in Australia he is interested in seeing some native animals and try some marine sports.
