New Starters! February 8

Maria, Adeline, Nadine, Yuka, Liliane and Vera

We have six lovely new starters this week at Lexis Byron Bay – Maria, Adeline, Nadine, Yuka, Liliane and Vera.

Maria is from Argentina and she is the youngest of 10 brothers and sisters! She is a graphic designer but now she is living in Byron she hopes to find work as a babysitter because she really likes looking after children. She chose to study English in Australia because she travels and she wants to be able to communicate better when meeting new people.

Adeline is from the French part of Switzerland and she works as a beautician. She enjoys diving and travelling around the world. She is studying English now at the beginning of her travels to refresh her English skills and afterwards, she plans to buy a campervan and visit the east coast of Australia. In Cairns, she plans to dive on the Great Barrier Reef.

Nadine is from Switzerland where she lives in a beautiful house near a lake. At the moment she works as a waitress in a little cafe. Her hobbies are dancing, listening to music, meeting friends and cycling in summer. During her time here at Lexis Byron Bay she hopes to improve her listening, speaking and writing skills and in the future, she hopes to travel around the world.

Yuka is from Japan and she is 25 years old. Her hobbies include walking and doing yoga. She likes English and during her time here in Australia, she hopes to improve her English skills and her confidence when speaking and meeting new people.

Liliane (Lilly) is from Switzerland and she works as a medical assistant. She loves sport and she is also a kickpower instructor. Her hobbies include jogging, surfing, spending time with friends and going to festivals. Now she is living with a homestay family close to school and she will spend 2 months in Australia altogether. After Australia she will return to Switzerland to work.

Vera is from the Czech Republic and her interests include reading, doing yoga, swimming and cycling. She enjoys travelling and recently she went to Indonesia and liked the people and natural beauty there. She would like to go back and study Phytotherapy there. Australia is an exciting country for her because it is a nice place with many options.
