We are a friendly family living 10 km from Byron Bay at Newrybar. We’re looking for two people (a couple or two friends,no singles please) interested in working 4 hrs per day Mon to Fri (weekends off) in exchange for self-contained accommodation and great food (no wages).Enjoy afternoons at the beach or just relaxing!
Work includes gardening such as weeding and mulching, cleaning and general maintenance jobs such as painting – in fact a whole range of jobs but nothing too hard or dirty. You’ll need a pair of boots and be able to speak good English.

We are a family of three beautiful children – Finn (almost 5), Rory (3.5) and Samyana (1). Mark and I work from home. We live in a lovely community estate in Suffolk Park on a very child friendly street. We are only a few minutes to the local shops/great coffee/food etc and about 7 minutes to the beautiful beach in Suffolk. Lots to see and do around here.
We would love for you to be a part of our family. The position is for help for either 15 hours in exchange for accommodation OR 20 hours in exchange for accommodation and food. We shop mostly organic local vegetarian so there is always plenty of fresh beautiful produce in our home. My partner is also an ex chef so the food is of very high quality. The position will also entail a further 5-10 hours per week for a pay rate of $20 per hour.
We will also provide a lovely room with your own TV/DVD player with a lovely outlook to the forest. The complex we live in also has a pool. Its a great safe and quiet place to live.
The position would include:
** Help with the children, crafts, taking them out on their scooters to the park etc;
** Help with the house – washing clothes, dishes, sweeping, general tidy up;
** Cooking would be an added bonus if you do 🙂
We would love you to have:
** A current drivers licence (this is a must);
** Previous experience as a nanny (this is also a must as taking care of three children at once is busy);
** Initiative – to take initiative and have a can do attitude. You will be like my wing man – here to make my life easier and helpful;
The hours we have normally set in the past have been three mornings per week and 2 evenings, however, we can be slightly flexible with this. We are looking for a commitment of at least 2 months. Please also note in Byron Bay it is not the high season so getting another part time job can be challenging. Please also note that this is a live-in position not live out.
