This week Lexis | Byron Bay welcomes two new students: Hodaka Shigetomi (Tommy) from Japan and Renato Faustino Rodrigues De Oliveira from Brazil.

Tommy is a keen surfer, which is why he chose Byron Bay. He told me that he wants to learn English because, in Japan, he has friends from other countries and he wants to be able to communicate better with them. He will stay at Lexis for 17 weeks and I’m sure both his English and his surfing will improve a lot during this time.

Renato will study with us for 20 weeks. Back home in Brazil he is a Biology student and he is hoping, in the future, to study Marine Biology in Australia. He chose to come to Byron Bay because his friend is already studying here.
