Every second Friday the Lexis Byron students celebrate the beginning of the weekend at the Beach Hotel, one of Byron’s most iconic pubs.

It is a great chance for students to talk to others who are studying at Lexis. It is also a great opportunity to further practice English, meet locals and enjoy some good Australian beer (Cooper Pale Ale is on special for $4.50 on Fridays – what a bargain)

There is also free bar snacks which the students usually make the most of too.

This week some of the students stayed back and played pool, winning against a few of the schoolies (year 12 school leavers) who are in town to celebrate finishing high school!

And best of all, Lexis student night it is a good way to connect and build friendships with people who are also travelling, far away from home, studying a new language and sharing a similar experience.
