There are a few different things happening this weekend, along with the usual fun at some of our favorite places!
The British Film Festival is on in Byron from the 6th – 16th of November. It has been travelling around the major cities of Australia. Check out the details here.
The Barrel Surf Movie is screening @ Patagonia on Jonson St. If you are a surfer or learning to surf, this will be some inspiration for you. (a “barrrel” is when surfing the wave it breaks over head and then forms a tube shape to surf through).
The Mullumbimby Show is this weekend. If you would like to see all kinds of different country things, such as sheep sheering contests, pie making and pie-eating contests,a truck show, equestrian shows along with market stalls, music and other entertainment, the Mulllum show should be an interesting event. The Sea Shepherd Benefit Gig is on at the Brunswick Heads hotel this Saturday 8th Nov from 12pm until 10pm. All funds raised will go towards The Sea shepherd, an organisation that works hard to protect whales, dolphins and ocean animals. Excellent local bands will be playing and there will be good people and good vibes.
If you haven’t been to the Byron Bay Brewery, make sure you do go along to check it out at some stage during your stay.
