If you aren’t too busy chasing Justin Bieber around Byron Bay this weekend, here are some things to do in town!!
Local band The Badlands are launching their EP at the Northern on Friday – having supported Aussie bands such as Wolf and Cub, this should be a good one!
Also on Friday at the Byron Bay Brewery, is Brazilian Party night, from 7.30pm! With all-Brazilian bands and DJs and free entry!
If you fancy a quieter Friday night – Mullum Flicks in Mullumbimby are showing the brilliant Australian film ‘Mystery Road’ – starring Aaron Pederon, Hugo Weaving and Ryan Kwanten. 7pm at the Drill Hall – tickets are $14 and dinner is served at 8pm
Good news if you’re under 26!! This Saturday there is a free youth BBQ at Brunswick Heads soundshell on the river. Featuring Ya Kulcha hip hop and salsa crew, who will be teaching salsa and reggaeton, and local band Three Little Sisters – learn some moves & enjoy the music and food!
Plenty of bands playing on Saturday in Byron Bay – ‘A Little Province’ at the Northern, DJ Taya at the Beach Hotel, ‘Dave Scott Band’ at the Rails, ‘Allensworth’ at the Byron Bay Brewery and ‘The New High’ at Treehouse!
And finally – on Sunday…Writers at the Rails are holding their fantastic poetry slam from 2pm, featuring Daevid Allen; Lisa Hunt is singing at the Brunswick Hotel and don’t miss the Byron markets!!
Have a good one!
