Twelve weeks of hard work and study paid off for our FCE students yesterday, when they travelled to the Gold Coast to do the final four tests. They were given four tests to complete: reading, writing, grammar and listening. Students need to be able to concentrate for a long time, as it takes all day to finish the tests.

Despite the sunny weather outside, students kept focussed on the job, and most students were confident about their results. One  student even thinks he got 27/30 for the listening test. Let’s hope so, Yanick!

After the test, students were welcomed to the finish line by their teacher, Andrew, who also was there to fill their cups with some celebratory champagne.

Congratulations, team FCE! Well done!

A happy ending to twelve weeks of hard work

Yesterday, FCE and CAE students completed Stage One of their exam schedule when they talked their way through the 20- minute test. After a visit to Byron’s newest coffee bar, The Community Table, for  a tasty coffee or three, students then had time to relax and wait their turn to do the test.

After twelve weeks of working hard in the classroom, there were big smiles of confidence and the relief of a job well done.

With the big test day still to come next week, students were keen to get back to work by doing a practice grammar test in the afternoon.
