GV Byron Bay fielded a team in a five-a-side beach football competition last Friday with admirable results.

The boys, including Keng from Taiwan, Diego from Spain, Seo from Korea, Andrea from Italy, Federico from Spain and Alex from Japan played well against teams from some of the backpacker hostels. They came second in the competition which is organised by one of the Byron Bay nightclubs “Cheeky Monkeys”.

Some of girls came along and supported the team and later everyone went back to the nightclub to watch the competition on the big screen and to continue celebrating with a few drinks.
